PM Modi's Saudi Visit to Focus on Trade, Investment and Regional Stability

National News:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday on a two-day official visit. During this important visit, he will meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and address the Indian community living in Saudi Arabia. This visit is considered an important step towards further strengthening the India-Saudi Arabia strategic partnership.

Saudi Arabia ambassador of India Suhail Ejaz Khan notified that this will be Prime Minister Modi's earliest visit to Jeddah. However, he has visited Saudi Arabia twice before. The visit took place in response to the Crown Prince's visit to India in September 2023, when he took part in the G20 summit and also became the joint leader  of the first meeting of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council.

Deepering relations, growing cooperation

The relationship between India and Saudi Arabia has been historically strong, which is not only limited to areas like trade and energy, but socio-cultural partnership also plays an important role in it. Both the countries are continuously increasing cooperation in areas like politics, security, defense, health, education, science, technology, culture and investment.

During this visit, PM Modi will also meet the people of the Indian community living in Saudi Arabia. The Indian diaspora settled in the Gulf countries not only contribute significantly to India's economy, but are also working to spread India's culture and values ​​​​across the world. IMEC corridor and global issues will also be discussed

PM Modi and Mohammed bin Salman are also likely to discuss the ambitious India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) project. This corridor is considered a revolutionary effort to strengthen trade and connectivity between India, West Asia and Europe.

Apart from this, Israel-Hamas conflict, Ukraine war and other international and regional issues can also be discussed in the talks. This visit will also give both the countries an opportunity to better understand each other's views on the global platform.
